Well here’s one that’ sure to polarize opinion. Regula Tuning, based in Schwerte, Germany, have just published details of their “Grandiose” tuning package for the Audi R8.

Starting with the front, the new bumper is quite attractive, managing to work well with the R8′s original lines. Not sure about those small intakes just ahead of the front wheels though. They look like an afterthought stuck on with double-sided tape. Then there’s the side. Not much to talk about here as everything looks fairly standard (except for the wheels). And then we come to the rear, and things start to go rapidly downhill. In an effort to shoehorn as many vents and grilles into the rear bumper Regula Tuning have pretty much butchered what was once a rather neat and attractive rear end.
To top it off the company are also offering some ride destroying 20-inch Oxygin Oxrock wheels with a width of 8.5 inches at the front and 11 inches at the rear.

Some redemption does come from an ECU upgrade available for the R8 V10 which raises power from 518 hp to 552 hp. No word on whether they have a similar upgrade for the R8 V8.
As far as pricing goes, Regula Tuning’s services don’t come cheap. They’ll take 7,698 Euros ($10,000) off you for the body kit, and a further 1,398 Euros ($1,800) for the ECU remap.
