Richard Mille has recently unveiled a timepiece that brings together two of the brand’s stereotypes, state of the materials and high tech manufacture, and two interesting inclusions, an odd complication and partnership with Jean Todt. Even though only 15 units of the Richard Mille RM 036 Tourbillon G-Sensor “Jean Todt” timepiece will be manufactured, the profits of the sales will fully head towards charity.
The model features a G-force sensor in the form of a complication by Renaud Papi that gradually displays the number of G’s accumulated by the wearer during brief moments of rapid acceleration, on a scale which ranges from red to yellow then green. Even though this complication has no real use, it is though rather fun to check your G-s from time to time.
Jean Todt on the other hand, the current head of the F.I.A. (Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile), is quite an important man in today’s automobilist industry.
