Here' one new SBK beast with pretty pictures, just launched in Munich, Germany: the 2013 BMW S1000RR. The main riders of the Bavarian racing team are Marco Melandri and Chaz Davies.
Melandri has already proven that the BMW WSBK machine is a competitive one: no less than 6 wins have kept Marco in contention for the title down to the final race, and he is keen in improving the performance during the 2013 season.
Chaz Davies has won the 2011 World SuperSport series, but he is still a newbie in WSBK works racing. While being extremely proud to have made it to the next level, Chaz' goal is to try and finish the 2013 WSBK championship in top 5.
With BMW Motorrad already dominating the FIM SuperStock 1000 championship and winning the 2010 and 2012 series, it looks like the Germans are on a very favorable trend, so we'll watch them closely as the 2013 season is about to start in a fortnight or so.
