We are privileged to see an early preview of a new watch that Linde Werdelin will officially today, July 4, as part of the growing Oktopus II avant-garde family. The new Double Date Titanium Red features bold red detailing on the titanium-colored dial, with a matching red rubber strap (a black textile strap is also available).
The Oktopus II has a satin-finished titanium case. The non-marked bezel is made of ceramic with a nice circular satin finish on top and polished edge. Here are the numbers: 44mm (w) by 46mm (l) by 15.25mm (h) titanium case, 2 layer dial (upper layer laser-cut in stencil technique / lower dial circular Côtes de Genève), “double date” at 12 o’clock, hands in stainless steel with satin finish,  LW customised Dubois Dépraz caliber 14580, interchangeable strap (LW proprietary system).
Its five-part construction comprises a central movement chamber and four case parts assembled together with 16 screws.   The four case parts at three, six, nine and twelve o’clock, are built separately from the movement chamber and are used to attach the strap as well as to hold the attachable instrument. The crown at 3 o’clock bears an engraving of an octopus icon, and the caseback is also decorated with an octopus (a finishing touch by founder Morten Linde).

The Okto II Double Date Ti Red is limited to only 88 pieces, available from July 4, 2013 at a price of CHF 10,200 ex VAT.
