The Croatian engineers loaded the Rimac technologies into a nifty, high-performance and more affordable product addressing a much wider customer range. However, they did not cut any corners, as the Greyp G12 sports carbon fiber elements and specs to put it in line with much more famous e-machinery.
Greyp G12 comes with a 12kW (16 HP) rear hub motor which can send the rider darting ahead at 65 km/h (40 mph). Juice comes from a 1.3 kWh battery pack mounted centrally inside the frame and it can last for 120 km (74.5 miles), especially as the high-performance regenerative brakes can suck back up to 2kW into the energy storage.
Powerful was not enough so the Greyp G12 was also made to be smart: a 5" (12.7 cm) color touchscreen acts as instrument dash, providing a ton of useful info and the usual speed, remaining battery, motor temperature and more. Smartphone integration is expected soon, as well.
A fingerprint reader substitutes for the key, but the bike can also be started with a PIN. The fingerprint reader also remember 5 prints per user and 50 users. The 5 different prints can be used to cycle through the different riding modes: legal speed, top power and so on.
The first Greyp G12 are scheduled for delivery in October, and the base price of €6,000 ($7,910).
