The flying car has taunted the imaginations of daydreamers for the entirety of the modern age, with technology and engineering rendering the machine, ironically, a rather fleeting idea. Despite scoffs, rejections and skepticism, Štefan Klein first debuted his Aeromobil prototype in the early 1990s.

Now, Klein returns with the latest edition of his Aeromobil, with a sleek 6000mm long body, powerful Rotax 912 engine, and a carbon-coated steel frame. As a car, the Aeromobil is a two-seater roadster with 7.5 liter per 100 km fuel consumption – all fitting into a standard size parking space.

As a plane, the vehicle takes off at 90mph and can fly over 124mph for up to 430 miles. Though still not commercial, perhaps Klein’s Aeromobil will usher in a new age of automobile consumption and design.
