Designed as if the inventors of the first pedal powered cycle had access to today’s modern materials and technologies, the Concept 1865 Electric Bike is one high-tech velocipede. While electric bike concepts have become quite popular, we have yet to see anything quite like this.
Teaming up with BASF, the German designers at Ding3000 created this beauty. The electric bike has been outfitted with a 250W hub motor that not only assists the rider, but also illuminates the LED lights built into the frame (great for night time riding). The battery pack is built right into the seat, so when you park it, simply remove the seat to prevent thefts from riding away on your 2 wheeled companion.
This also makes for easy charging. The bike itself is made from ultra lightweight carbon fiber along with a high tech compound constructed seat and tires that create a smooth ride for the user.
