Ahead of its debut at the Tokyo Motor Show in a few weeks, Nissan reveals the BladeGlider concept, a proposal for a delta-shaped electric sportscar. The concept features upward swinging doors and underbody aerodynamics, in addition to a 1+2 seating arrangement so the driver is front and center like in a McLaren F1. The kicker here is that the Japanese auto manufacturer actually wants to build it. According to their press release, the BladeGlider “is both a proposal for the future direction of Nissan electric vehicle (EV) development and an exploratory prototype for an upcoming production vehicle.” No doubt it’ll take some time before the car becomes a reality but we’re willing to wait if this is indeed the path we can expect from Nissan.
