DMC, the German tuning company who specialize in performance parts for a number of luxury brands, have just finished putting together a range of upgrades for the Lamborghini Aventador. Not content with either the bodywork or 700 horsepower offered in the standard car, DMC have made changes to both.
The new bodywork, all composed of carbon fiber panels, consists of a new front bumper, new front wings, a rear bumper, a rear diffuser, side skirts, a new engine cover, and a large rear spoiler. The engine’s output has also been significantly increased, by 288 horsepower, taking the total to 988 horsepower.
The upgrades to the engine include new high-flow fuel pumps, new fuel lines, new injectors, a remapped ECU, and most significantly, a pair of turbochargers to force-feed the 6.5 litre V12.
Of course work like this doesn’t come cheap. But then neither do Aventadors. DMC’s body work alone costs $89,000. While the engine upgrades come in at a whopping $134,350. Still, that’s peanuts compared to the $3,000,000 Lamborghini Veneno, and that’s only got 650 horsepower.
