“The pursuit of perfection” – Ducati has revealed a new flagship model to its stunning lineup of motorcycles, the 2013 Ducati 1199 Panigale R.
Unveiled at the 2012 EICMA Show, the 1199 Panigale R will be the lightest superbike in their family; is based on the S model but with lighter components and features engine modifications, ABS as standard equipment, an adjustable swingarm pivot, race-kit exhaust and carbon trim.
Performance has also been optimized the revised engine mapping now enhance the Superquadro engine’s crank acceleration and allow it to rev 500 rpm higher to a 12,000rpm limit, and a power output of 195hp (143kW). The 1199 R will retail for $29,995, and will be available in Ducati Red with white highlights and a mix of red and brushed aluminum on the fuel tank with lightweight forged wheels by Marchesini in black.
