After having released all sorts of personifications of their Horological Machine No. 3 wristwatch, MB&F now seems quite interested in exploring the world of futuristic design and space-related looks.
Their latest piece, the MegaWind, seems to have been garnished with the design of a spaceship, with a flipped up automatic movement that shows off the MB&F signature battle-axe winding rotor topping the case. It was designed by Eric Giroud and works on the original concept of Maximilian Büsser. The mechanics, in fact the movement system was put together by Jean-Marc Wiederrecht. In addition, the MegaWind boasts a rotor with titanium center and arms tied to 22-carat gold blades on both sides.
As for the two cone-like shapes, one of them houses the hours display, while the other shows the minutes. The case is made of 18-carat white gold and titanium or 18-carat red gold and titanium with sky-blue rotor. It measures 47 mm x 50 mm x 17 mm. In addition, the timepieces come encased in sapphire cones and sapphire crystals both at the rear and front. The binding system is done with a black hand-stitched alligator strap sporting an 18-carat gold and titanium custom designed folding buckle. Care for a little bit or future?
