Smart watches have been taking the tech scene by storm as of late, but the Filip is a smart watch designed specifically for kids – but with parents in mind.

Equipped with built-in Wi-Fi, cellular and GPS systems, the Filip was created to help parents keep tabs on their kids at all times (through the included smartphone app). No longer do you have to worry if little Jimmy made it to school safely.
The watch will also let parents program up to 5 phone numbers (children can then send/receive calls/texts from those predetermined numbers), and in the event of a real emergency (or no one responds on the 5 pre-programmed numbers), your little one can push the emergency panic button, and Filip will trigger its automatic location beacon, sound recording, and contacts local emergency personnel.

These features are all incredible, but the fact that the smart watch won’t allow kids to download any other apps (like games for instance) makes a great selling point for the device. This means it’s not just another distraction in your young one’s daily lives. Oh yeah, it also tells time. Price has yet to be announced, but check out the brand’s online store to stay up to date.
