Following the production announcement of Smart’s eScooter at the beginning of the year, Smart has just formalized a partnership with the pioneer of electric scooter, Vectrix.

In a press release Daimler announced that they continue to expand their range of electric mobility products with Smart, an offer that already includes the Smart ED, Smart eBike and will be supplemented by an electric scooter.

This partnership approach with an expert of the genre had already been concluded for the Smart ebike which was developed by the Germans from Grace.

Presented in world premiere at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, the scooter Smart should keep the design of this concept and given its size should offer characteristics similar to those of the Vectrix VX-2 which would be the most appropriate basis...

“The smart scooter will be a true smart and we want to make it an icon of urban mobility – just like the smart fortwo.” Annette Winkler, Head of Smart

Indeed, Vectrix has three models with variations depending on the type of battery, and above all, 6 years of experience in the sector.
