Don’t let the 600 pixel image above fool you, because this tablet is BIG.  The new Lenovo IdeaCentre Horizon is a 27-inch tablet computer that is capable of upright mouse-and-keyboard computing or flat surface, shared family entertainment.  It’s a fusion of laptop portability and desktop power with a tablet experience.

The Lenovo IdeaCentre Horizon is powered by a 3rd-generation Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB of RAM and 1TB of storage space in its top-of-the-line iteration.  All of this is fit within the 27-inch backlit display, providing multi-touch access to all of your Windows 8 based apps and media.  It’s on its way in the summer of 2013 for an undisclosed price.  We expect that price to reflect the component offering on the high end, as all of that power in a tablet-style form factor might be on the upper end of the all-in-one market.
For us, we immediately imagined using this as an image editing powerhouse, a nice big display to view and manipulate the photographs from our last vacation.  Designers, if Apple isn’t an option, wouldn’t you like to have something like this at your fingertips?
