In a recent interview Christian von Koenigsegg released new information about their future flagship model, the One:1. The details of the Koenigsegg One:1's engine are not known yet, but Mr. Christian revealed that the new hypercar is going to have a horsepower output of around 1,400 hp. Its name, One:1, refers to its power-to-weight ratio, which is going to be 1:1. This also means that the One:1 is going to weigh around 1,400 kg, including all its fluids.
Apparently, the Koenigsegg One:1 will be able to accelerate from zero to 248 km/h in just 20 seconds. Mr. Koenigsegg also claims that the One:1 is going to be the quickest car ever made in the 0-200 km/h, 0-300 km/h and 0-400 km/h sprints. Oh yes! The Koenigsegg One:1's top speed is rated at around 280 mph (450 km/h). This is quite a bit faster than the top of the range Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, which can reach a maximum of "only" 268 mph (431 km/h).
Koenigsegg announced that they plan to finish the first One:1 prototype by the end of this year. They also announced they're going to build just six units of the Koenigsegg One:1. Its price is currently a closely guarded secret. We'll have more details regarding the Koenigsegg One:1 as soon as they're available.
