So you’re looking to upgrade your entry level DSLR this holiday season, but you’re not quite sure what the next step in your budding photography career (or hobby) should be. The Sony A7 full frame camera might be a good choice, if you’re looking to take your hobby to the next level.
All the megapixels in the world aren’t going to help if you have a small, low quality sensor capturing your shots. The team at Sony know this, and have decided to roll out their 35mm full frame mirrorless sensor equipped A7 camera, a camera that might we add is the smallest ever to be equipped with a full frame sensor.
Users will be able to choose from either the Sony A7 (24 megapixel retail price of $1,699), or the Sony A7R (36 megapixel retail price of $2,299). Both cameras will work with any of the E-mount lenses Sony manufacturers, and will off not only offer impressive, high image quality and low light performance, but also increased control over your depth of field when shooting. Other features include a 3 inch tiltable screen, 5 fps continuing shooting, both Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity, and a completely water sealed body. The Sony A7 camera is set to release on December 1st of this year, just in time for the holiday season.
