More and more renowned brands are willing to extend their fields of expertise today, and so does RJ-Romain Jerome by enticing us with the brand’s first diver’s watch. A superb technical achievement and timekeeping wonder, the Octopus is an addition to the brand’s Titanic DNA Collection.
The stunning timepiece presents itself with a one off internal unidirectional rotating sapphire bezel system with two crowns, at 3 and respectively 9 o’clock positions, and engraved 5-minute graduation. The chapter rings and the hands have been garnished with SuperLuminova “Blue Emission” which ensures perfect visibility in dark circumstances and under water.
Closely knit to the Titanic DNA Collection, this wristwatch also features oxidized and stabilized steel within its bezel, originating from the real Titanic. The number of the cephalopod, 8, is present throughout the parts of this gorgeous piece. For example, the water resistance has been exactly fit for the maximum depth of 888 meters, the models will be produced in 888 units and there are 8 octagonal head screws on the 45 mm case. RJ-Romaine Jerome’s signature X shaped intersection has also been added on the dial.
There are three models announced by RJ-Romain Jerome. The Red Octopus will be available at $14,900 while the Black and Metal Octopus versions can both be purchased for $13,750.
