This one-of-a-kind cafe racer is about as custom as it gets. The crew at El Solitario in Spain built this one-off motorcycle for a competition where resources were limited, but time and creativity were not. With a vintage Yamaha SR250, about $1300 in parts and over 500 hours of manual muscle, El Solitario designed and built the “Winning Loser” motorcycle, the perfect bike for the anti-hero.
Its rough and rugged visual theme belies its precise engineering, as this bike wasn’t built just to impress a few judges, it is an every-day rider for its owner. We love the visual character in the custom gas tank, the cafe-style seat and the paint-chipped exhaust. It looks like the bike the quintessential bad-guy-gone-right would ride in the typical Hollywood movie of the 1970s.
