For as far back as we can remember, we have always wanted a jet pack. The ability to fly around school, work, hell anywhere really, seemed like the coolest idea on the planet.
Well thanks to Marc Newson we are one step closer to making our dreams a reality. After being approached by a small French firm specializing in aerospace components, Newson began his venture to create a wearable jet pack. Fittingly titled ‘Body Jet,’ the Australian designer has mocked up this carbon fiber constructed apparatus that is controlled by a gyroscopic system, and is aiming for an overall air time of about 60 minutes.
The device is still in its conceptualization stage, but Marc is working hard to make this product commercially available in the near future.
