Although it may just look like Canon just switched out the “15″ next to the G for a “16,” this PowerShot G16 Digital Camera actually does pick up where its predecessor left off. Leading off the charge is the G16′s claim to fame, that it now fully integrates Wi-Fi Technology, which means this camera is capable of letting you share images and video via social media sites, e-mail, and the Canon Image Gateway.
Inside its body – that only comes with a few minor tweaks – the G16 features a 28-140mm wide-angle lens paired with a low-light friendly f/1.8 – f/2.8 aperture range and Canon’s HS System, which merges a DIGIC 6 image processor with a 12.1-megapixel High-Sensitivity CMOS image sensor to automatically improve your shots. Given its size, the G16 rides the fence between the pocket-friendly point-and-shoot variety and the power of a DSLR, but we’ll have to wait until October to get our hands on one. However, you’ll have to expect a $549.99 price tag for the opportunity.
