Texas Armoring announced recently that they're going to build an armored version of the Mercedes G63 AMG 6x6, which had its world debut back in March at the Geneva motor show. The 6x6 version of the Mercedes G63 AMG is already a very heavy vehicle, weighing 3850 kilograms.

Imagine that armoring it means adding quite a bit of extra weight. Texas Armoring expects to add around 1,000 kg of steel to the G63 AMG 6x6, which is going to take it close to the 5,000 kg mark. The standard G63 AMG 6x6 develops 544 hp and 760 Nm of torque with the help of a 5.5-liter V8 biturbo engine.
If Texas Armoring plans to add so much weight to the car, it will probably be a good idea to go with the Brabus version of the 6x6. The Brabus G63 AMG 6x6 is rated with a horsepower output of 700 hp and 980 Nm of torque. The Texas Armoring Mercedes G63 AMG 6x6 is going to offer a B6 level of protection and it's priced at just under 1 million euros.

This is more than twice the price of a standard G63 AMG 6x6, which is going to cost you "just" 450,000 EUR. If you're looking to buy an armored version of the G63 AMG 6x6 you'll have to make a deposit of around 750,000 EUR now, so you can receive your vehicle towards the end of next year.
