The Directorate General of Armaments (DGA) has awarded Thales the technical-operational study overall architecture of network operations Armed ETO (AGORA). This strategic study, which will be operated by Technical and Operational Analysis Centre Defence (CATOD) DGA, will help define the future of all networks theater French Army 2020-2025, explains the electronics in a statement.

The ETO AGORA should define operational scenarios from implementing the various networks deployed by 2020-2025, how to integrate and interconnect operational services of the future, in a context of migration of these networks to the IP.

The study should define the sequence of services currently offered by networks of theater Army (ASTRIDE) and ensure the federation and consistency with the Joint communications networks satellite (COMSAT NG COMCEPT) and networks Naval Force (RIFAN), while also taking into account the new media horizon considered (including LTE/4G).
 
The objective for the Army, is to have the theater of operations, operational communication networks, converged, Joint and NATO interoperable level by 2020-2025.

Thales, architect of the study is associated with COGISYS, DCNS and TRS. The group brings a comprehensive knowledge of the technical and operational context for Army networks (ASTRIDE), networks of satellite communication (SYRACUSE / COMSAT NG), radio networks fighter (CONTACT), the Air Networks (SCCOA) and naval networks (RIFAN).
