The Swiss manufacturer of exceptional timepieces Audemars Piguet has celebrated the 40th anniversary of the exquisite Royal Oak collection during the last year. Now, Audemars Piguet, based in La Brassus, is looking forward to participating at the renowned Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie 2013.

The successor of the Royal Oak series is the Royal Oak Offshore collection, according to the brand, a collection that had its debut back in 1993. It’s now the time for the Royal Oak Offshore collection to be celebrated, as it will soon turn 20, with the first grand complication in a sturdy 44 mm titanium case.
The newly launched model presents itself with an exposed minute repeater with split-seconds chronograph and perpetual calendar. Unveiled before its official debut, Audemars Piguet’s Grande Complication Royal Oak Offshore Titane timepiece is water resistant, a rare aspect for a minute repeater.
Running thanks to a self-winding movement caliber 2885, the wristwatch boasts a display caseback which exhibits the intricate craftsmanship of the complicated movement. In addition, the dial of this exquisite timepiece is a sapphire crystal, just like the caseback.

Unfortunately, very few people will ever be able to hold such a gorgeous timepiece at their wrists – more exactly, 3! Each of them will reportedly be manufactured on order, through a process that lasts in excess of 700 hours.
